Yes, I have been sucked back into the world of beads. I'm going to start with a nice, simple necklace. And then I'm going to go back to the evil, painstaking, glorious world of the more complex work.

Someone please tell me I don't need to find all the appropriate beads and tackle this pattern...I don't normally work from others' patterns, but I am so very tempted.

She calls it Terragen Scene Four.

It's only fair I say this in public.

I do not have screen.

Because I realized, before I could buy it, that somewhere around here I have the flexible wire mesh stuff meant for modelling...

Argh. Caught. Now where is it?

I have begun beading a necklace. Simple, but time-consuming: square-stitch. Yes, square-stitch. Silly me.

I'm having fun. It's slow, and I sat wrong, so I have a few stiff spots. And I have the beginnings of a necklace. I'm pleased.

To be specific, I have four inches of this, in seed beads in two colors, two wide, blocks of 2x2 in colors alternating (matte peach and a red-brown lined transparent, if you're curious).

I. Am. Nuts.

And this is way, way too much fun.
