Youch. Just heard a radio report that the classical Chinese Gardens in Portland have a problem. Their pond has sprung a leak. Their water bill is $7000 a month....

It's a very large, beautiful pond. I remember that from when I went there. I feel sorry for them.

On the other hand, they've wrapped it up in concrete and stone and wood, so I can understand its urge to find its freedom.

Oooooo..... *blisses out*

My parents brought fresh-picked blackberries from their bushes over yesterday. I bought French Vanilla ice cream today. And now I have a bowl of ice cream topped with fresh berries. Yummy.

Some things are just really, really wonderful. I'll skip the refund, this is good enough....

So, I can post to the journal. I can view my history in the client, day-by-day. I can change my journal style, view the FAQ's, and generally kick around. But I cannot view any journal or any friends list. I can't view my own journal in calendar style.

I'd venture that whatever the problem is, it's especially jinxing the broader searches. Whee. I wonder whether anyone out there will be able to see this at the time that I post it or not. ;)

Meanwhile, I don't have anything to say, so much as I wanted to post while I couldn't see it. Why this is such an amusing idea, I have no clue. I must be strange. Wait, we already knew I was strange, didn't we?

I love my new beading cart, even though I haven't set everything up. I found most of what I wanted for a necklace and put it in the tray, and I thought to grab it and start it after reading all my favorites, and just a bit before bed.

Which is when I noticed that I haven't got any scissors in the tray. Not only do I need them to cut thread, but frankly, industrial-strength shipping tape is holding two of the boxes shut, and I would like access to their contents.

Guess I better find some scissors.
