I normally sleep very well, no matter how good or bad I'm feeling.

I did not sleep well last night, not at all. Everything from bad dreams to annoying achiness.

The rest of this is just detailed grumbling. )

Just a little extra Monday for my Monday, in case I hadn't recognized it as one: my watch has stopped.

I don't use my watch unless I leave the house, which I did this weekend only to go grocery shopping - so I didn't use it then, either.

So I don't know exactly which 12:15 it stopped on. Well, not stopped: the seconds' hand is gamely wobbling back and forth on the ten-second mark, jittering a bit on the last of the power, without actually going anywhere.

Which probably means it was last night or yesterday noon, though I don't know how long the things last. What I do know is this means an extra stop, 'cause now I need a battery.

There is an "Abandon All Hope Ye Who Enter Here" sign above the break room, and a skull-halloween-themed candy dish in place of the usual shark.

The Halloween Coworker has his holiday spirit back, and is over his blah "I'm not sure I'll do anything this year" and talking about animatronic spiders....

Today's special is turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, corn. Yummy. I went down to get a small hot cider (again) and we chatted for a bit, and she told me she remembered me and made sure she didn't use nuts in the stuffing! I paid for the cider a couple hours later when I went down to get the special. (Which I couldn't finish...oh, well, a snack for this evening - not enough left to really be a meal.)

I really like this deli, have I mentioned that?

---

We now have chocolate-fudge eyeballs in the halloween candy dish.

N. brought in a 25-cent gumball machine. (She collects gumball machines.) Scary office. Hee.

The banter here is unnerving. (Someone won Madonna's convertible...it probably has big headlights...I bet you can get the top down, but it doesn't go up again!....)

You know, for the most part, working with these people is a ton of fun? The question is, even for the amusement value, is it worth 25 cents for one of those gumballs? I think I have to answer no, given that I have a drawer-full of Trident....

Several of my friends have been raving about this stuff. They just love it. It's wonderful. Etc.

...umm. I'm really glad everyone likes it, but I gotta ask....

What are you on? *shivers* Nasty, nasty taste combo.

Sugar and salt, I knew this, but oh is it nasty. Wrong. I suspect it's a pure "taste" thing, both because so many people love it, and because I can't articulate it beyond that, but oh is it gross. I like sugary stuff. I like salted popcorn. I do not like sugary salted popcorn.

Add to this that it's worse for me than my usual popcorn....

I'd give them away to the folks who recommended it, but I think shipping would cost more than the package did. If Scott doesn't like it, I'll contribute at work - maybe someone there will enjoy it.

*weary* I'm happy. The database fix was done successfully, no more hang over my head, YAY.

Tomorrow I address an outstanding TSR I was waiting on till then, and look at some files I pulled down to help me with another one, and attend the products meeting, and...

Tomorrow I run like a rat. :P

Tonight I have the new Suzanne Vega CD. Tomorrow I think it goes to work with me, to be listened to on much infinite repeat.

New Vega. Much happiness.
