...I am so not going to work if I feel this awful in a few hours. Which I mostly expect to, though I hope not.

Woke up just a few minutes ago with my head pounding so bad I could not go back to sleep. My cold has definitely assaulted the sinuses, and me in general. Stuffed sinuses, sinuses pounding, temples pounding, ears feeling pressure, general discomfort when tilting my head, on the right side my upper teeth ache (another sign of sinus pressure, pathetically).

Hurt so bad I had to get up in the hopes blowing my nose would clear it. It made my nose feel better, but that was about it. I'm halfway through a glass of water, and the first sips applied a tylenol and a decongestant.

I'm going to go back to bed shortly, but if I lie down right now, I think my whole head will commence throbbing even worse again. Being upright seems to help a little.

Ugh, ugh, ugh.

If the decongestant doesn't get the ears and sinuses to let up over the course of a day or two, I might actually have to see the doctor - and I really hate runs of antibiotics.

Wish me luck.

I was awake for another half hour or so after going back to bed, and I felt awful the whole time. Propped myself up with two pillows, which didn't help a bit.

But I woke up this morning, so I must have fallen all the way asleep at some point. My nose is not stuffed, and my ear does not ache, so I think the decongestants saved me. (The roof of my mouth itches, and my throat is sore, which I suspect is also courtesy the decongestants.)

I'm rather tired, though. We'll see how far through the day I make it, but it's a lot more promising than it was a few hours ago.

So, Scott's email is the primary on our DSL account. So they emailed him they were going to change our ip's, and a time, and he agreed it was good, and they sent him new info. (This is according to their tech support; Scott is asleep, as he is also not feeling well.)

Lo and behold, the time came: 5 pm on Tuesday. And I was abruptly dropped from my net connections, which I was half-paying heed to, since I had come home early not feeling well and was now trying to work on the laptop. And I was much distressed....

...because Scott didn't tell me about this! So I had no idea why the hell I'd just lost net. The DSL modem was trained up; but neither machine had any net, suddenly. I figured first it was just the mush I'd been dropped from, then web pages didn't load and tracert wouldn't work, not even the first hop. So I called tech support, and got all of the above.

And the new ip address for my machine, as you can tell as I am posting this. And a note on the account to send information to both email addresses.

Which I should not need, dammit. Oh, well.

I'm sure, since he's not feeling well, it was just spaced. But I was in the middle of a conversation with someone who was gone when I got back. And it took me 45 minutes to realize I'd lost connection, realize I'd lost net, decide it wasn't a transient problem, call tech support, get tech support, fix the settings, and restart.

Dammit.

Umm...my head hurts less than it did this morning?

Worked out something I'm doing on Ashes, more or less. Just gotta do it.

Umm...talked with friends.

Got a little bit of coding done.

Wow. Today was really...hard to find good things for. Meh.
