So, I put some files out on a share for a coworker to grab (because they're large, and I figure he'll want to start the copy without having his email interrupted). On a machine. Which is on the primary domain. For the company.

He can't connect to it. Bwah? So fine, now it's been ftp'ed over to a Unix box. Whee. He says he can get to that.

I don't profess to understand, but if it gets there....

Well, in the note of realizing that Narbonic isn't worth money, and evaluating what is, I sent off another donation to Eversummer Even, which I really do enjoy that much. It's been a while since I sent the other one and that one was small enough I think another is worth it; I adore the thing, after all.

And I have the schedule I need to finish my taxes. I haven't done it yet, but I have it. Thanks to Chris for suggesting what should have been obvious: download from the IRS web site and print. Worked like a charm. I work with computers all day and I still thought I was going to the library to get a copy of the thing...ummm, why?.... But hey, he stopped me, and now I have a nice neat form to use. It's a fairly silly little form, but it's the silly little form I need, so.

Scott and I had the meeting to get pre-approved for a loan to purchase a house. It went pretty much as I expected. The mortgage company guy is slick, and a seller, and was playing us and trying to make us not wince at the numbers. Since I also know he's competent, and quick, and that the numbers are fair and almost exactly what I was expecting, that works just fine.

Tomorrow to call the realty agent. At least both of them were recommended to me by someone who has worked with them before. So this should go pretty well. I don't know when we'll have a house; neither of us are exactly eager to jump in unless it's a good deal and what we want, so we may be shopping for quite a while. It's a fairly good approach, I think; my coworker has fallen in love with a house, and she's paying more (in my opinion) than it's worth to be sure she gets it.

I'll fall in love after we own it, thanks. ;)
