I don't watch television, so I almost managed to miss this. My radio station actually has a TV commercial. They have it up on the web, and they put the link on their site.

It's silly. It's pathetic. It made me laugh. (This makes it far superior to the radio commercial that offends and annoys me so much that I turn the radio off when it comes on, and back on when I remember.)

If you're curious, it's on their web site, almost at the bottom of the page, just above the news links. WARNING: Windows media viewer format only, and they have a boatload of ads up, including popunders turning up many times.

Today has been marvelous. I wrote a bit of code to support a new feature we'll soon have on Ashes (prebuilt housing, which was actually intended to be done a while ago, before I got swamped). I desced five new grid rooms and the appropriate exits; once someone else looks them over, they'll go out and be used (and probably confuse people who, like me, have learned the exact number of rooms they need to go in any direction - ah, well).

I've scened Satha, and read more of Animist (which book I am still trying to decide if I like - the world interests me, but the character and situation are a bit hard to maintain empathy with, for some reason).

I weighed in with my opinion on various things on Ashes, and I got all my @mail read, and I posted the update to the bboard about the new *Inspections mail-alias.

I finished a history writeup for my character for the staff game of D&D, a rough draft, and tossed it off to see if it could fly or not.

Yeah. So far, so good. I do mean to go for a walk, and I haven't yet, but otherwise I'm doing pretty well.

Also known as the Consumer Broadband and Digital Television Promotion Act.

I'm still busy snarling over this, and it's already been said more coherently than I could have, here:
