And now we play "book review".

As I said in one of yesterday's entries, I've been reading Eve Forward's Animist.

I'm still not sure what to think of this book. I don't hate it, but I don't like it very much, either. I do like the world; I think it could have lovely stories in it; but given how this book was handled, I'm not really inclined to expect this author to bring them out, either.

( And now we get into minor spoiler land. This doesn't give away plot but it might give hints to those planning to read it. )

Ummm. *grrrrrr*

Okay, they at least showed some sense after the fact, but..."zero tolerance" policies still clearly equate to "zero brains" policies. AUGH!

Yeah, I know. I've been here how long, and I'm introducing myself? And this will hardly be news to several reading (at least parts of it). But others don't know as much about me, and hey, I can steal a good idea from my friends list when I see it.
