Of course, I've gotten up and brushed my hair and gotten ready for work, and that's it. But hopefully it will keep to the pattern. Last night, there was an awful lot of noise from the deck. It took me a moment to get past the image of people tapping on the deck door and realize it was a really heavy downpour - I've heard them from upstairs before, but not down here (probably because I have music on about 80% of the time when I'm down here, and it wasn't that loud).

So I stuck my head out the door just far enough to appreciate it and get the occasional spatter, and my arm out into the rain. It took about five seconds to soak the sleeves of my sweater and turtleneck through. I love rain.

It tapered off after a short while, to a more normal level, and I came back inside and eventually went to bed. This morinng, I awoke around six to the sound of a similar level of rain against the bedroom window (much more familiar - and more dramatic, I think). So what did I do?

I went back to sleep, of course. I'm supposed to get up around 7, not 6. Lovely sound, though. It had stopped by the time I got up, about 10 to 7.

I'm awake. I'm energized. Most of that is that I went to bed on time after a lazy evening doing not much of anything, instead of late after cramming work in (which was Monday night). But the rain can't have hurt.

May the rest of the day be as good to me.

...to move the closing date up to the 23rd, from the 30th. If the seller is agreeable, the house would be ours in under two weeks.

...was pretty decent. I was about to complain that it just vanished, but I've been reading Doris Egan's The Complete Ivory (the omnibus of her trilogy) and that eats up a lot of time. Speaking of eating, I also picked up groceries, so I may continue to do that for a time. I got everything on my "must do" list for work done (except "put code in at site" on one because I didn't want to do it at 10 to 5 my time - that will be first thing tomorrow) despite some interruptions, both supporting a site in install and supporting a trouble-shooting issue that can only be called a farce. No, I won't describe it beyond that.

I got half of one of my "want to do" items done. My goals for tomorrow:
1. Get the code in at the site.
2. Finish cleaning up and validating and merging my current effort, and check it in.
3. Document my current effort. Send it to the doc team and tester for testing and cleanup for client use.
4. Clean up the configuration-install build to be compatible with the current version.

Item 1 will pretty certainly get done. Item 2 is likely. Item 3 is a fair bit of work. Item 4 may get done prior to item 3 if I get annoyed at #3. :P

After that I have several optional tasks, we'll see if I have any time left.
