First load of the day over to the new house. It really is pretty there. A couple blocks from the house by street and you're out of the city limits and into gorgeous (and I do mean gorgeous) countryside.

Last night, going to the house, I had a deer (looked like a young doe) cross in front of me, casual as you please. She stayed standing in the field she stepped into, just watching, as I drove past, too.

This morning, I saw "SW FROG POND LN" on a road sign (also very near my house). What a cool address that would be!

And finally, rainbow trout jerky is a bizarre concept (at least to me), but surprisingly nummy.

Home for a while now. Last round of laundry at this place, and packing. Whee. Lots of packing.

I also got a gift for the neighbor who's been so kind to us - it seemed appropriate.

Also, SW Briar Patch Ln. Hee!

And another load over, and more trash produced here. We're going to be fine; we'd be fine now, except moving the stuff off desks and tables would be sloppy. Fortunately? We have to be ready Monday morning. I need to get the bookshelf cleaned off - the last little one; I want my parents to help move that tomorrow, along with a couple chairs, the good CD shelves (which are tall enough to be awkward in a car - could put them in sideways - but otherwise not bulky), and maybe the last of the chairs as well. Oh, and the black table from our bedroom, and maybe the little roller cart.

I say maybe because I'm using it for important stuff that has been shuffled off of every other shelf. On the other hand, I think by the end of tomorrow we will be living at the new place, really, since our computers have to go some time tomorrow as well (so that they are not on the desks Monday morning bright and early).

We're going to have so much unpacking and organizing to do there. But it's a lovely house, and the more I drive in and out and the more time I spend in it, the more I love it, and the area, and the drive.

I may have to start biking, or walking more, though. I want to photograph so much of that area - as much as I've seen - and there's no good place to stop a car for a lot of it. Heeee.

I don't think I'll take the road that crosses over to Parkway at night any more. I like deer just fine but that limited-sight dip is unnerving knowing that they might be there. During the day it's not so bad because it's easier to see but at night? Your headlights aren't always where you need them, no matter what you do. The other road - Elligsen - is a bit safer for that. (And it has a grand view coming in on it, during the day.)

It's only about a 15-20 minute drive up in moderate traffic (ie, moving more or less at speed). I suppose I'll have to learn the right times in order not to get nailed by rush hour, though.

Prior entries detailed how much I got done. We've got Scott's car reloaded for tomorrow morning's run (before or after my parents arrive, depends on how quick we are about it).

I got in a wonderfully fun scene, as well as getting to hang out with people (thanks to everyone for being patient with the idles while I packed!).

And...somehow, I acquired scratches that have welted. I think papercuts combine poorly with dust...ah, well, a bit of washing and disinfecting will see them fine. They don't hurt, they're small, they just are unhappy.
