1. What drinking water do you prefer -- tap, bottle, purifier, etc.?

Depends on where I am. I couldn't care less, when I'm at home. When I was at school, I preferred bottled water, or filtered, because the tap water was nasty. When I'm at work, I prefer the bottled dispenser water, but only because the dispenser brings it down to refrigerator temperatures, which I really like.

2. What are your favourite flavor of chips?

Cheese. I love Doritos. After that, plain pretzels or tortilla chips (the latter simply because I like dips a lot).

3. Of all the things you can cook, what dish do you like the most?

Hmmm. Not sure. Probably peach chicken with rice. I don't enjoy cooking much, though.

4. How do you have your eggs?

Mostly, I don't. Cooking them is easy but cleaning up is a bitch. When I do have them, over easy or in an omelette, depending.

5. Who was the last person who cooked you a meal? How did it turn out?

Hmmm. If you count real, proper cooking, someone I never met at a restaurant and okay. If it has to be someone other than me, that's your best chance. I think the last time Scott cooked, it was stuffing of some sort. We are not fond of cooking here....

No, I wasn't in the last one, just had to get past it.

Anyway, I headed over to the Japanese Gardens this morning. Lovely. Got there about a half-hour before the general open, wandered, and walked out at general open. Fortunate: just about to come in was what looked like about 40 or so grade-school children. I'd rather not share the Gardens with them, thankyouverymuch. Got rained on most of the time I was there, and didn't mind; that's what umbrellas are for. I haven't checked yet whether or not any of my pictures came out, so I'll have to say on that later.

Gas, and school bus absurdities at a gas station. )

On the way back from the gardens, I stopped and picked up my prescription at Bi-Mart (where my insurance is good, which I was finding out today, so color me pleased). I also dropped into Haggen. And that's when I decided to come home.

I love accidents, really I do. </sarcasm> Man, what a mess that freeway was. From where I was, I needed to get on 217, take 217 to I-5, and take I-5 south to Wilsonville. Exit order from there is: 217, Carmen Drive, Boones Ferry, Nyberg/Tualatin, 205, Wilsonville.

There were accidents in the southbound lanes at Carmen Drive and again at Nyberg. It was an interesting drive. )

Of course, it's been raining off and on and they've forecast rain, possible small hail, thunder, and potential lightning. I'm not clear on if the lightning's for my area or just for the gorge, but the rest of it's general. So far, I've seen the rain and heard the thunder. We had small hail yesterday, for about 10 seconds. I could do without another dose of it.

I hope it clears up tomorrow. I'm not exactly thrilled about the idea of weeding in the pouring rain.

He was in a car accident, earlier. He was going to pick a friend up, to go to their game; he was turning into the friend's driveway, a left turn, or rather waiting for an opening to do so, when he was rear-ended.

He said it bent the bumper down, but I suspect it did somewhat more than that, since he said the trailer-hitch was lower and that's anchored to the body...though it does pass under the bumper. It still drives, anyway, and he's all right. (No, he didn't drive it to the game - he parked it at his friend's place, and they took his car instead.)

I am so very, very grateful it was no worse than that, and all the same my nerves are just a bit on the touchy side for that news. Except for that, today was a lovely thing, full of books and rain and Gardens, and wild hail-storms when I'd come home for the afternoon.
