I'm awake, which surprises me. I suspect I won't be later. Got to bed late last night, and then slept restlessly, with dreams that stirred me awake at 5:30. I slept through to the alarm at 6, but intermittently, still trying to capture and retain the dream (mistake: if I wanted it, I should have gotten up and recorded it before I lost bits).

It's a good morning, overall. My picture in the "Negative Space II" challenge is obviously not pleasing others as much as it was me, but its score this morning is much better than it was last night. I was hoping for a 5 or slightly better; so far, I'm getting a 4.5-ish. Of course, after only one day, it doesn't really count, but.... They tend to go down most of the week.

For the week. I knew it was coming, but it's not really my favorite thing (okay, I intensely dislike it) to be the first person called if something goes wrong. I'm not in the right job to avoid it, though...tactical error, that, but no one mentioned this part of the job when hiring me (or a couple of the others: it is part of our standard line now to bring it up, at least).

I got some weeding done and some watering. I foresee a lot of household chores, reading, and other whatnots that can be done around home. I'm playing with the camera dad loaned me and taking photos of stupid stuff I won't care about, just to be using it, which is cool. I need to hook it up to my laptop at some point, but I have not done so yet. Seeing the results would be good. Some of the controls are really well thought out. Others sadly need some documentation to be usable, but on the plus side, I must concede they have done a good job of providing that documentation in their manual. I just like intuitive controls that don't double up functions so much..... *g*

I'm so not motivated tonight. I did manage to make myself weed, but "I should" is the only motivation that got thru. The rest of it has been staring at the screen and vegging. Assuming that's tied to my slightly short and definitely broken sleep last night, I should be fine again tomorrow. I'm hoping so. I'd like to read more Harry Potter now that I have it (though so far, I'm not enjoying it as much as I'd hoped; hopefully I will get more into it). Or, failing that, do some more research and descing for some Forgotten Realms stuff.

Actually, what I really want to do is roleplay. But I'm carrying the pager. I will not start that on the level one pager, because I am likely to have to vanish with little warning if anything does come in. So not fair to anyone else. Still. Mrf.
