Dad gave me a new scanner (a very spiffy one) a while ago, which I hadn't yet gotten set up. I still haven't, but I've unpacked it and put it in place of the older one I was using (which was also from him...heh). I had trouble finding the power cord, for a few, but located it in one of the cardboard wells I'd been ignoring because they were so narrow. Basically, at this point, I just have to install the software and hook it up (preferably before I manage to lose the software - I know the way this sort of thing goes).

The dishes are done and the laundry is running; I have lunch meat, more bread, and a memory like swiss cheese. I should have taken the bottles back to the store, of course, and didn't. Oh, well; next time, hopefully.

Dad's stopping by at 4 to loan me his camera to play with - sooner than I'd originally planned, but the way mine is going is giving me fits, I fear. He's also willing to let me have it for longer than I'd've asked, which is really really nice of him. Thank you, Dad, you rock!

And the rest of this is mildly grumpy about the photo site. ) Whew. Mostly, I put this here so that I wouldn't put it there. I wanted to say it. I don't want to thereby be part of the continuation of a thread I'd love to see die, though.

Also, I gave into temptation and linked my journal and my dpchallenge accounts as each others' web site. Why not; it's not like my username is hard to guess if you know I have an account there. :)
