Definitely clearing off. You could not tell it from my back windows - the pasture is all over snow - or even from the front ones - so are the road and sidewalks. But I know from someone who went in that the office parking lot has been plowed, and the cars are turning the street into slush out front instead of snow, so it's a lot more yielding than it was yesterday.

The way things worked out, I should have not gone in yesterday, especially since they had a chance to use the cell this morning and didn't - they called someone else at home. Oh, well....

Does look like the two who were flying out Friday are not. It's now a Saturday/Sunday thing and I think on the whole they are lucky for that, too.

Time for me to stop babbling, take a couple photos if I absolutely must, and head in! And maybe I will be able to get my library books tonight. Hehe.

Main streets are about like yesterday, as are side streets. Slushier, but neither particularly worse nor any better to drive. The highway was very clear.

The parking lot, however, combined the worst of yesterday with the worst of today. They had, it turns out, plowed out only the entrance itself. I was unable to park. I discovered several areas in the lot that are subtly sloped that I had not realized before, but even when it was level I had very little traction. I feared several times I would not be able to get out of what I started either, but each time I managed, and I managed to get out of the lot, though I had several dicey moments there too where if things had slipped a bit more I'd've been stuck.

So, I came home. That was enough adventure for one day, thank you, unless an emergency comes up I will just stay here.

Open your music player on shuffle, and note the first ten tracks it plays for you.

Mine, cut so as not to be a nuisance to anyone. )
