Today went pretty well. Got a good mix of accomplishments at work and really felt like I got caught up there (had two and a half days go to things other than anticipated this week, so that's fairly impressive). Alas, left a half hour later than I meant, or so. Then stopped to get a prescription filled (as the pharmacy would not be open on my way back)...and realized that with the traffic reports I was hearing, it was probably not worth heading to the zoo/Gardens. I'll do that tomorrow morning. Came home instead, stopping for the rest of the shopping.

The weather today was glorious. Cool (high in the 70s) and wet (cloudy and/or rainy all day long). As I walked to my car this morning, the first, light droplets of a morning rain came down; as I drove to work it became a downpour. At work, I darted around to the trunk of my car, grabbed my umbrella and flung it open, by which means I arrived at the doors to the building only somewhat damp. Afternoon was clearer, light showers and dry patches, one of which let me get back to the car. Most interesting was around 8:30, when it was darker than it had been an hour before, the sky a tan-grey shadow that didn't look like it was past false-dawn, never mind to midmorning and the sun up....
