1. Have any exciting summer plans?

Is there anyone who watched me squeal about the Marvin Bell workshop who thinks I don't consider that exciting? At the end of July, I am going to a Suzanne Vega concert, then going to the Marvin Bell workshop for the next week. In August, Scott and I are going to GenCon.

I'm really looking forward to that. It's exciting for me, anyway. :)

2. What's the best summer vacation you've ever taken?

Hmmm. I'm not sure. I tended to spend summer vacations lazing around when I was in school, and except for things that get scheduled then (GenCon, for example, or the stuff I'm doing this year), I consider summer a bad time for vacations. Everyone's taking them and it's hot and unpleasant and I'm allergic to stuff. All at once. Hopefully, the poetry workshop will have that honor after this year; for now, I'm just going to list GenCon because it's easy and doesn't require me to think and remember. It's still early, I'm still half-awake.

3. Would we be more likely to see you lounging by a pool or out water skiing?

No.

Lounging by a pool if I had to, but really, "no". The pool would tend to get water on my reading materials if I read (or journal if I journalled); and it's not the sort of thing I'd want to photograph. But water-skiing doesn't sound like any sort of fun, either.

Places you might more likely find me: sitting on or strolling along the beach; sitting inside near a window watching the world from the comfort of the air conditioning; walking in the Japanese Gardens or (maybe) wandering Saturday Market; in the bookstore browsing; in the mall people-watching; wandering through town (if it was not too hot) taking photos of neat buildings and things.

4. Will you be putting on a swimsuit this season?

Probably not. Maybe; I used to love to swim; but probably not.

5. If you could take a summer vacation anywhere, for 3 weeks, where would you go, and why?

Maybe some summer writer's workshop. MAYBEsomewhere in Europe, but really, the first thing I'd do is ask if it had to be a summer vacation. Why try to see a new place or do something during the misery months of hot weather? I'd rather leave them to the (to my eyes insane) folks who like them. Unless (as with the stuff I'm doing this summer) there's no choice because that is when the event is.

And, alas, now to work. *yawn* Not awake yet. Mmf.
