State of the Laura....

So before anyone asks again, yep, I'm still alive, just quiet. Been reading a lot lately, occasionally creating characters I'll probably never play, trying to learn some new techie skills, and of course work, keeping the house up, and so on and so forth. It gets old saying "gee I did laundry again" but that would be what I will be doing again today.

On the plus side, today I am awake, because I got to sleep in and make up for the broken sleep patterns this week. Of course, my neighbor forced me out of bed (I'd woken a couple times and gone back to sleep before that, so not sure if it counts as 'waking me up' so much as 'keeping me awake') by the loud application of power tools. I think they were actually doing yardwork at the time; it progressed later to banging away on their replacement deck, but I was up already by then. On the other hand, I'm not upset - I was almost read to get up anyway, and it was 9:30. I'm just glad they didn't start at 8, which would have been utterly reasonable from their point of view and not at all happy-making from mine!

And I'm afraid that's pretty much the scope of how exciting my life is now...you can be glad I'm not giving you one-a-day updates of this quality.
