Today was such a test of my willpower. See, after work, I went up to JoAnn's Fabric in Tigard. This would not normally be a test of my willpower, as they carry lots of fabric (unsurprisingly) and some craft things, the latter mostly over-priced, and I don't sew. I am not, these days, even tempted to consider that I might sew, because it requires time, space, practice, etc., that I don't have, in comparison to the hundred other crafts that require less time/space/etc. that I do know how to do, like, and still have no time for.

However. They are moving to a new store Nov 3/4. It is just across the parking lot, but they are nonetheless planning to sell out their entire current stock pre-move.

It's not yet late enough in the sale for the prices to be spectacular. It's late enough, however, that all the clearance items are 70% off (today thru Sunday only), as I found out on arriving.

I very nearly left with sew-on eyes for teddy bears. What, exactly, would I do with sew-on eyes for teddy bears? (For those in the audience who like a good laugh, I did briefly consider stringing them on beaded necklaces, as I put them back.) But they were 15 cents for six.... I did leave with a few things I hadn't planned to get. I did restrain myself to just over $10 worth of stuff, though, and I think I will use everything I bought. Well, except for one thing I picked up for someone else, but. :)

But, yes, a test of my willpower alla same.
