Though it felt sort of unlike one since I wasn't working on Friday. For some reason I had to remind myself that Saturday was not a Monday I had off. The lack of rush hour helped, though.
I visited with Dad both days. Both times I took the Tualatin route going over - the weather is cool enough for frost in the mornings, and the Wilsonville Road is curvy, well-shaded, and near water for a chunk of its length. It probably would have been fine but the extra time is not much and I felt better. I suspect it mattered more this morning: going over Rex Hill (which is higher!), it was quite frosty off the road. Very pretty, actually, and I hope that some of the photos I took come out. I have my doubts as they were snapped one-handed without looking, since I was driving. Oh well, I'll check on those later!
Basta and Babe are doing well, which is to say they are thoroughly spoiled. I still seem to have few problems with exposure to cats although my eczema did threaten a flare this morning - I'd forgotten my claratin. I took it and by now it is fine. I do not think forgetting that is yet acceptable, somehow...but to no longer need the prednisone is a lovely, lovely thing.
The laundry is mostly done, or at least is enough done. The Christmas cards are mostly done (I have one that Scott needs to sign, and a few that I need addresses on - the latter aren't even done at all since I don't know if I'll get those addresses or not). I still need to pay the bills, and file for one rebate. And I need to clean the kitchen and wanted to make some fudge, both of which are looking like tasks for tomorrow night, since they're not as time critical.
Pictures when I can manage, may not be until later in the week. May be sooner if I decide to skip, say, the fudge thing. We'll see!
Dad has posted the list of charities that he and Mother had chosen to donate to, for Christmas. I am also donating to them. I doubt that most people reading this knew my mother well enough to want to join in for that reason, but if you do, please follow the link. I think she'd probably approve of the idea. (And feel free to follow the link and donate because you're interested in helping them, obviously, if you are. :)
