There is a recall underway in the US of a large number of store brands of canned cat food, specifically cuts-in-gravy style, for both cats and dogs. They have received complaints of deaths from kidney failure. They haven't traced the cause despite testing, but they have found that it was timed with a change in a production ingredient, so it may well be involved.
