So, the fabric I wanted the chair reupholstered in was discontinued and they couldn't get it. So, today I went back in to pick another. I don't like it quite as well as the first but I do like it nearly as much. It's backordered until Christmas. *snickers* I ordered it anyway, at least I know I should get it. I hope. (And I got a discount for the inconvenience, which was nice, but I'd've done it even without the discount.)

There was another woman there when I was, who told me two months seems like a long time but it isn't really. Why she told me that after I'd already had the entire exchange with the woman running the place, including responding to "it's backordered until Christmas-time" with "oh, that's fine, I can wait"...I have no idea why the other customer felt the need to comment on it. And she told me my new fabric was nicer than the previous one because it could go in more rooms. But...I liked the other one better, silly!

She was there about reupholstering a chair that had been her mother's. Which was kind of funny and neat since this chair used to be my mother's. And she seemed friendly, and as if she meant to be nice. It was just very odd.

Now for laundry and packing. I think we can manage not to check a single item.

...the fabric I most wanted was Jasna Viola and the one I am getting now is Bajazzo Celestial.

I didn't see the Jasna Sage at the store, and I wouldn't have got it if I had, but I might have had to think about it briefly since it has some commonalities with the first fabric I knew on that chair, before Mom reupholstered it (I think I was in junior high?).

Edited to add, so there is context: this is the chair. Although that's before the current fabric became so worn and dirty that it needed replacing. :)
