So, the rain let up yesterday afternoon/evening after all and it was fairly clear. Scott handled the trick or treaters (except I answered the door once) because I asked him to (I am lazy!), but based on the number of times and what he told me, I think we got 20-40 kids total. That's fairly normal for around here (we're on one side of a major street and there's just the one - admittedly long - street over here). It all worked out good.
Cutest Trick or Treat moment EVER: I heard Scott answer the door and as he was giving out candy, say, "For you...and an eyeball for you...." (We have a variety of candy, all chocolate, and the "eyeballs" are just Palmer's chocolate-with-fudge-filling-balls wrapped in a tinfoil eyeball wrapper.) And then I hear this little girl's voice, proclaiming in self-important glee, "I GOT A EYEBALL!" (Scott told me after that she was dressed as a fairy princess, too.) So, so cute.
