Ohhh, my feet. I am overtired, overheated, and happy. Drew played in the bounce houses this time thanks to his friend Alex more or less dragging him into one, and he had a blast. Also the hot dog he's been wanting. He turned down a free fireman's helmet but took the fire and police badge stickers. Hee. And the free flying whirligig toy from the gaming store we love.
Some freebies got skipped, though. Free cotton candy? Line a mile long. (Not literally, but huge.) Contest for Domino's Pizza freebies? Ditto. The air-brush face painting? Even longer.
Still, I love Fun in the Park: if you're willing to wait, all of those were free.
And there were 6? or more bounce houses, games galore, a stage with music, etc. Some vendors, yes, but lots of free stuff and community outreach. And a pretty good food vendor area, yay for that.
