I had a good day, overall. The "waking up" part was not handled with grace on my part, due to the telemarketer involved, and the whole "I was still tired" bit, too. But after that it got better. Scott did the laundry, even though I was home and was a brat and didn't help. I hung out with my friends and, if I was quiet and maybe not the best company for a lot of it, I was still with my friends. I was quiet because I was also reading The Book at the same time. In Legend Born is excellent! My mother stopped by and dropped off some of her delicious wheatberry bread. (Which goes very well with my lentil soup, as I thought it would.) Thanks, Mom! I hadn't finished the book by then, so I will have to pass it along for dad to read at some point now that I have.
Scott and I played Everquest together for a while, too, mostly during laundry. We both got killed, one at a time, by the same thing (a goblin trainee). After that, we decided, no more trainees for the day. But we did pretty well. Scott headed over to Dale's to game, and I decided my headache actually warranted a nap - and slept for three hours, so I guess I was right. When I got back up, I hung out online and played Everquest off and on. I was going to roleplay, but I was still fuzzy-brained, and it sounded like everyone at the place I might have scened was involved in some fuss-whatnot, both ic and ooc. When that flustered me, I figured anything else would too, and that's not a good state of mind to rp in, especially since my character, while fun, isn't all that easy to keep involved if I'm not focussed. Pity I'm so unfocussed lately. Anyway, rp seemed like a bad idea, so that's when I ended up playing Everquest again as I mentioned above. Actually, that's gone pretty well. I haven't gotten killed, and at one point got some nice buffs from a high-level druid, that let me solo a few nasties I'd normally need at least a second person to help with. I admit, tag-teaming the orc centurions wasn't bright, but I lived and they didn't.
And now the survey, borrowed from
yansa's journal. Or, more bits and flotsam of information about me.
Five items you have brand loyalty to:
Five phrases you use:
Five snacks you enjoy:
Five songs you know the words to, even without the music.
Five games you like:
(Man, "games" is so general...especially for a gamer!)
Five albums that changed your life:
Ummm. Sorry, I really don't think I can answer this one as it's written. Did some of the music I've listened to change my life? Oh, probably, but...I dunno. Mostly it just keeps me happy, or gives me words for things that already are.
Five things you can't live without: [I'll keep the "other than the obvious" clause here.]
Five things you'd buy with $1000:
Okay, I assumed $1000 I had to spend or lose. Otherwise, I'd probably just stuff it in savings.
Five things you've owned over the past ten years: [Assuming: had the whole time, not at one time. Which makes this a toughy, as I have a lousy memory. :)

Five items you have brand loyalty to:
- Budget Gourmet, at least for a significant number of their frozen dinners.
- Tillamook cheese.
- Campbell's soup (my uncle would be pleased, I think).
- Tide detergent, and Bounce fabric softener. (Hey, the "free" ones in those lines don't make me itch. Lack of hives makes me nicely loyal, yes.)
Five phrases you use:
- Isn't that just ducky.
- Meeble.
- Gotcha.
- Now what? (Sometimes as a genuine query, usually in extreme exasperation as the sixth or seventh interruption occurs.)
- Meep.
Five snacks you enjoy:
- Ghiradelli chocolate squares, esp. dark chocolate with white mint filling.
- Fruit leather, the kind made with actual fruit and not just flavorings.
- Hard-boiled eggs.
- Cheddar cheese. (Why, when I have to take a pill if I have more than one slice, I have no idea. But I like it.)
- Pretzels.
Five songs you know the words to, even without the music.
- Suzanne (as performed by Judy Collins).
- No Mermaid, Sinéad Lohan
- Return to Me, October Project.
- Nexus, Dan Fogelberg.
- The Downeaster "Alexa", Billy Joel.
Five games you like:

Five things you can't live without: [I'll keep the "other than the obvious" clause here.]
- Close friends and family.
- Hope.
- A computer, with net access!
- Some place to write.
- Water - not just to drink, but to watch and be in. Rain, lakes, rivers, the ocean against the cliffs....
Five things you'd buy with $1000:
- Plane tickets to California (Bay Area) and/or Wisconsin.
- USB hard drive, at least 10 gig of space.
- The sequel to that book. Oh, wait, the sequel isn't out yet. Okay, a bunch of roleplaying books I haven't gotten around to picking up, then.
- A big, fluffy, thick blanket to curl up in.
- *sighs* Pants. That I like. And that fit. Hell, pay someone to sew 'em for me so they REALLY fit.
Okay, I assumed $1000 I had to spend or lose. Otherwise, I'd probably just stuff it in savings.
Five things you've owned over the past ten years: [Assuming: had the whole time, not at one time. Which makes this a toughy, as I have a lousy memory. :)
- Several of my stuffed animals. (Including the rabbit and smurf I keep near the bed. Yes, I have a stuffed smurf.)
- My thunderegg collection, most of which badly need to be actually opened still.
- A box of Christmas ornaments. (Now, if I just ever put a tree up again....)
- The blue and white knitted blanket I was given as a child.
- A number of photographs, of my family, of places, of my cat. I loved the camera way more than 10 years ago. :)
