Hey, I went to bed early. I'll get up early, right?

Er, no, my internal timeclock is very good, and it gets me up at 8 on weekends. And it doesn't know from daylight saving time.

I'll adapt within a week, I'll just be careful for this week to go to bed on time or a bit early even if I don't feel like it, and be careful driving of a morning, but.... Geesh.

Why do we still follow daylight saving time? (Well, those of us who do - some areas of the U.S. don't, lucky them.) It doesn't really serve any purpose that I can see in today's world. And auto accidents go up in the week following, as I understand the statistics, pretty significantly. Which should really be no surprise to anyone.

Oh, well. Here we are, here I am, and I got up at ... 9. Whee. Well, I got plenty of sleep, at least.

I think in a bit (like, enough of a "bit" for them to open), I'll try walking down to the thrift store and browsing the clothes, just to see if I can find anything business-ish in the way of a shirt that actually looks decent for me.

Or maybe I won't, who knows.

Enh. Maybe. Even if it does, why reset all the clocks and confuse everyone? Why not just say, in the interests of conserving electricity, please do things one hour earlier/later?

If the clocks are changed, they HAVE to cooperate.

Not really; we have flexible hours at work, and many people (not me, 'cause I like to be home earlier) just start coming in an hour later.

It just seems really silly to me, to play this game. It's all artificial anyway, but do we have to make it artificially absurd? ;)

Unfortunately, though, I don't think most people are in that situation of being able to determine their own schedules.

I personally like daylight savings time, because it means that I get to see the sun more. *sleeps VERY late most of the time*

I think we should use daylight saving time year round.

California actually proposed such a measure recently, but I think it fell through...

i like to think that somewhere in amerika right now is a group of idealistic but slightly confused criminals planning on breaking into the daylight savings time bank and absconding with millions of tax-free hours.
