More dishes unpacked. A load of laundry done. Day by day, a bit more organized, a bit more here. We moved over the food we're keeping from the refrigerator; there's still dishes and a few odds-and-ends plus the deck chairs to be brought over, the Mud (maybe it's Dirt by now) to be dealt with, and trash to be hauled (including the food we deemed not coming over - expired, we'll never eat, etc.).

Not too bad. Not too bad. Work is...well, still as busy as it was. No change there. I did some work tonight after the bulk of the unpacking, and I imagine I'll be working more and more hours as the moving requires less and less.

DSL folks now want access to the house to continue testing. (They called the house to say that, two days running, and their message the first day was largely unintelligible. Dude, perhaps you should get and use my daytime number?) Anyway, I can't afford to be here during 8-5 weekdays, for pity's sake. Things are a bit interesting at Scott's work too, but in the much shorter term - he's not sure if he can do tomorrow, especially with giving them much warning at all, but Monday or Tuesday next week he could, anyway.

So it might be a bit yet before we have DSL.

The commute is so far kinder than I had expected. If I leave at 7:20, then it's just a 20-minute drive. I need to try different times and routes but generally I'm not feeling very alert in the mornings and the freeway is easy and seems to flow pretty well, plus it's almost a straight shot. As long as there are no accidents, I doubt I can beat that option as far as time.

Don't forget that Julie and/or I could be available during the day for the DSL folks if that would work. I have a doctor's appointment Monday morning but that's all.
