Okay, I'm feeling a lot better about this whole experience. I got into the Exalted game I was waiting on, and the Fudge Deryni game (both of which were games I'd wanted to get into but hadn't been able to get tickets for - both of which accepted me on generic tickets). They were a lot of fun. The Exalted scenario was pretty high-level, so at one point I was rolling 46d10 for an attack roll. (From concealment, etc., combo using 4 rotes, etc.) I felt bad for the GM running that one, however. She accepted a lot of generics...because of the six people who had pre-registered for her six slots, one showed up, an hour and a half into the game. To be fair, his watch was off. She was a bit distressed by it all, but chereful enough about that, and we had enough players and we all had fun.

(I want a character with that knife set. Summon them to you, costs magic power, but they come out of nowhere to your hands - hang around for the rest of the scene - and unless someone deliberately grabs and holds one, return to your hands after being thrown. Very cool toys.)

Also got dice between the two sessions (despite not needing normal dice for Fudge), so I feel better about my dice supply for the next two days now.

And in the Mad Deryni game, I took out the adjunct villain (son of the main villain and an echo of his father) more or less by myself...with a pot of boiling grease. (He wanted my character in his bed, and said so, which offended her - since she was not a lightskirt. Also offended her brother, who tried for the guy with an axe, but got interrupted. One legendary-level success later - and yes, I had to buy that - and he was coated in boiling grease from head to crotch and writing on the floor in agony. Well, accompanied by a bit of fierce dramatic dialog.)

(For that matter, that's the same guy I paid for a 'helpful coincidence' on so he'd walk into a tree branch and brain himself, after he'd already failed his woodsmanship roll and gotten lost. Mind, it didn't help us much, but embarrassing the villain is always fun - if it can make the whole table laugh, it's worth it.)

The same GM runs another game at noon tomorrow, and I had such fun in this one I'd like to do it - b ut I told [livejournal.com profile] elfbabe I'd meet her at two, which is mid-game. Plus, there are tons of other things I want to do, so....

Now if I can only survive the walk to and from the hotel. It's "only" 8 blocks, and my endurance actually is plenty for that. ;) However, in the morning with the sun on us, I was blinded, mildly skin-nervous (I didn't think I'd need sunscreen, so don't have it), and overheated when we arrived. Night is better but, end of day; my left foot hurt every time I picked it up for the last, oh, five blocks of that. No damage, though. So just wimpy.

I think tomorrow may be the wandering day, at least in part, since I'll be busy around 2 pm. For now, I gobed.
