Dad stopped by and we said hi and traded books. I've called my dentist-o'-choice for the next chance (there's no one near where I live that's on my PPO plan, dammit, but she is just a couple blocks from work, which is fine as well - we'll see if I like her) and left a message (mmmmf on answering machines). I've called Kaiser and a message was sent to my doctor's assistant; tomorrow or Monday, he'll call and we'll set up the appointment to get a chunk of my back removed. Stupid mole. Color me thrilled, but at least I'm in town for long enough.
I'm going to be out for part of today. Not sure how much. I feel like wandering, and even like trying to wander with a camera, despite (or perhaps because of) the rain that's falling quite steadily. (Thanks again, Dad - it's beading on the deck instead of soaking in - do you know how nice that is? *g*)
It's really pretty out. Besides, I have to stop by Powell's. Dad mentioned a couple books that are out that he hasn't gotten yet. But I want them now!
I have been using ViaVoice 8 - it was sufficient - but someone else here got 10 advanced and gave it really rave reviews. That was the program I couldn't find at Fry's last night. I wasn't really expecting it anyway as they didn't carry the advanced or pro versions of VV back when I got 8 either. But they were totally out of all of it! So I just ordered it online. Of course they didn't tell me how long shipping would take, I'm not pleased about that lack of knowledge. I want the program now! Spoiled child over here, that's me. :)
I'm going to check my email for work (like I said I would) in a little bit here, then head out. I do have the cell phone for the duration of the weekend, but I have it - and said I would have it - on silent. I'll look for messages periodically, when I feel like it (that will be rare!).
Anyway. Running off t'do stuff. Starting with work so I can get going.
