My parents stopped by to return a book, drop off some weed-eater stuff, and (although they didn't know it 'til Scott ambushed us all) play Apples to Apples.
It was a good pair of games. Funny, silly, and crazy. I think my favorite was when we hit the adjective "trustworthy". It was obvious no one had a good hand for it - or at least a good hand for a serious answer - by the responses. But they are all trustworthy, if you think about it - it just depends on what you trust them to do!
The answers: a flat tire, the San Andreas fault, and atomic bombs.
Now my parents have left. I got the dishes done this morning. The laundry is half-done and still working on the other half. I have documentation (for here) to write if I can find time to continue working on it. Before I can do that, I have work to do for my day-job, checking over code.
Color me resentful. EXTREMELY.
If I still have enough time left after that, I'd like to do some weeding and some additional housework, and maybe even play wtih some craftsy stuff.
I won't have time for the crafts. I'll be lucky if I pull time for the weeding. Trust me on this.
But it was very good to see my parents. And to play a game with them. We live so close, and don't visit as often as we could. (And heck, now I understand why so many household projects took so long to do while I was growing up ... aie! This 'work' thing gets nuts!)
