I just got home from a most excellent dinner. We went to what was the Esplanade at Riverplace - they renamed it after a remodel and I've forgotten the new name, despite having never been there before now and having no real connection to the old name, it was just more memorable to me.
I had duck for dinner and an incredible chocolate mousse for dessert, and I enjoyed just being there. It was a pleasant meal and I'm glad my parents chose that restaurant (I wouldn't have thought of it, but enjoyed it very much).
Then I got home and had a call from someone regarding an after-hours issue at work. He'd called at 7:45, but even so was still working on it. I think he's addressing it now, but.... (He did try the cell phone, but I'd had it off while we were at dinner. Unfortunate timing, that.)
Win some, lose some. I can still remember the chocolate, and that's worth a lot. :)
