I got some more work done on documentation I'm doing; I finished a load of laundry and did some cleaning around the house; I paid the mortgage (always a plus if you don't leave that lying around); I checked my work email for the last time until Jan 6; I finished Heir to the Shadows, the second book in that trilogy (thanks again, Mom & Dad!!); I put some new +where code in on Ashes. I vegged. I read lots of LJ posts, played a little bit of web games, and generally had a very good day.
There was a LOVELY rain/wind storm earlier, too. Lashing the house, beautifully, beautifully so. Absolutely glorious.
Good day. Scott went to visit his relatives. As it turns out, maybe I could've gone; he came home again tonight (just about 5 minutes ago) as his brother also wanted to come back. But I might have lost my sanity. Many many small children.
His aunts & uncles liked the framed pictures that were our gift to them.
Happy day. Things have gone decently. And soon they will go decently into sleep, because, blast it, it's late again. It really needs to stop doing that.
