Thanks to an email from my Dad, I have this link to a short piece over at A Dog's Life about the shuttle tragedy.
I think it's entirely appropriate to mourn that people died (as it would be for any such situation; I'm a sucker for the sad news stories). I think it's appropriate to think they are heroes, as much as it is to think that of those who did not die, also. They have all braved the same risks; some won the toss, some lost it, but going into space is not yet commonplace, just as once other ways of travel that now are the norm, were very dangerous.
