The shelves are bought (thanks, Dad!) and already set up inside the closet. They fit just as I hoped they would; between them and the right side will be just enough room to store the extra shelves I'm getting in case I want to convert the main room shelves to paperbacks.

I think I may order 1-2 more shelf kits, for much the same purpose on these other two. I don't think we will, but options are good, too. If we sold, it might be better to have them for the new owners, and if we live here for years on years as we intend, our plans might change and we might want them. I have to think about it, though. I'm getting 2 kits (4 shelves) already. One of those will be used in the closet one to give it enough shelves (even though it is handling computer manuals and hardcovers, at least one per shelf, right now, it's still too few shelves). So that's no longer enough to convert the four in the main room. One more kit would cover the main room tall shelves; two more would make them all potentially convertible.

Regardless, it's lovely for our purposes now. I've already shelved everything I could (there are about 5-6 books left over for when we get that new shelf, though I suppose I could use the top of the case with book-ends).

And it's still earlier than I want to be out in the back yard, or even earlier than I would need to head down to the nursery and work on getting something useful for the patch I need to, basically, keep under control lazily. Which is good, as I just realized I haven't had lunch, and that might be a good idea too. :)
