1. How much time do you spend online each day?

Way too much. Hmmm. Weekdays, probably 4-5 hours. Weekends, depends on the weekend, but way too much.

2. What is your browser homepage set to?

Presently, Yahoo. It's a holdover from the days when their page was useful, their search actually accomplished something other than missing half the resources out there, and you could find the links to the parts of the site you wanted amidst the clutter. I haven't found any place to point it at that I'm actually more likely to want when I start it up, so it's still aimed there even though I nearly never use it now.....

3. Do you use any instant messaging programs? If so, which one(s)?

ICQ, Yahoo Messenger, and MSN Messenger. The first one I use most; the second one has a number of friends from my college gaming club's emailing list (since that list is hosted on Yahoo!), and the third has a couple people who are never online. I'd ditch the third, except that I also use it for work from the other account on this machine (where it has, unsurprisingly, a boatload of my coworkers), so I don't exactly want to uninstall it. :)

4. Where was your first webpage located?

I have no idea any more, honestly.

5. How long have you had your current website?

Depends. If my current website is this journal (it is the only one I use or update!), then just days over two years at this point. The web site at my ISP is older, but also hasn't been updated in two years, and I only point folks at it if they might want the mushing pages, so I really don't think it counts.

There are some things I still find it useful for. The UK does not have good comparison shopping sites like the US -- we have a few but they are very limited. So if you are just hunting for a list of companies in the UK that sell whatever it is you are looking for, Yahoo is still the easiest way to find them. I do that before I google for it, since at least with Yahoo their links are generally relevant.
