Pictures!

The full moon is alternately hiding behind clouds and peeking out, beautiful and mischievous. And rather than posting my third set of oo-pretty words for the day - though it is, never doubt! - I figured I'd go with photos, instead. A bridge shot from Saturday's trip to the city; one of the photos of this morning's sunrise (some oversaturated and captured the mood better than the appearance; this one is fairly true to how it looked, though); and a photo of tonight's moon, as best I could manage. (I haven't played a lot with this camera under such challenging conditions. It shows, but I think the photo is still evocative enough to be worth sharing.)

Is that the same tree in both pictures? Because it looks the same. Or am I crazy?

It's the same tree. :) Both shots were taken from my deck.

With the realizing::digicam, take what you can get in this regard, I never like moonshots where the moon looks like a light-generating source.

Other two are GORGEOUS, though! And the moon one's one of the better digicam attempts I've seen.

Generally agreed; I like this one, but it isn't what I was trying for and isn't what the scene looked like. However, in every case where I managed to get the moon without having it look like a light source (and I did, I was stubborn), it was pretty much all you could see. Grrrrmf. The moon was a light source, but not enough of one.
