Still haven't posted about vacation. Sorry. Not today and probably not tomorrow, maybe not until the weekend.
I've now read most of what was up on Monday about 6 pm when I pulled the pages (I skipped some syn feeds or individual posts that I might have otherwise read, but not very many). Now to catch up on the stuff since Monday.
My thumb is no worse than it was yesterday, and actually somewhat better. No more phantom pain. I don't know how much of that is the antibiotics, though: I realized that my thought that typing was not bad for my thumb (because I don't use my left thumb) was not true. After being still all night it was fine, then started to bug me as I started to type - something about the way the rest of the hand moves when I do that bugs me.
So I spent a lot of today typing right-handed only. I'm still not tedious at that but it does feel slow to me. However, I kinda like my thumb and would prefer to keep the nail, so adding stress to it doesn't seem wise. Hopefully it will look better when I take the bandaid off tonight. (It's not there for the usual reasons, but to keep the nail from snagging on things.)
