It was a day. I got quite a bit done at work, and was only somewhat flustered by trying to keep up with it; unfortunately, I did not realize what was going on with a task someone else was working on until a couple hours in. If I had had the brainstorm a bit sooner, we could have lopped an hour off the resolution time. (Miscommunication that I abruptly realized must have happened, and we asked for a file that quickly confirmed it.) Of course, I had to see something else before I had the brainstorm, and it wasn't available before then, so...I suppose this just bears out the usual way things work.
Other than that, it's been a very blah day. I ate some frozen yogurt earlier, and I took one of the lactase pills. Alas, as my body made quite clear, I should have taken two of them. Or, more likely, eaten less frozen yogurt and had something fruitish with it, which would be better for me anyway. Ah, well.
It has been a very blah evening. Not that hanging out and chatting with my friends, and reading LJ, which is mostly what I've been doing, is bad; just that I've been doing it in a rather blah/drifty frame of mind. I prefer to be awake and in the moment. Oh, well.
Also, the thermometer in my car (we don't actually have a good outdoor thermometer now) this morning explains the whole "snow still here" thing when it hasn't been getting below freezing. Because it has. It disagrees with the weather report by several degrees, which would mean the snow has had some reinforcing freezing every night, at least for a few hours.
Still, it's beginning to go. Most of the lawn can be seen, now, and my neighbors' lawns. We'll have snow yet a while at work, as they apparently did finish plowing it sometime Friday or over the weekend, and it is now piled in big piles and snow-chunks along the edges of the parking lot and (occasionally) in a space. Usually at the end of a row, ie, prime parking. Go figure.
Not so pretty, but the upper lawn at work was, still all coated in snow. I didn't think to get a picture, of course. Oh, well, I think I have posted enough snow pictures for 3-4 people anyway during this.
I think sleep is in order.
