I'm enjoying my day off, so far. I have been to the library, dropping off a large stack of books and taking out a smaller stack. One of which is Patricia McKillip's Alphabet of Thorn, which I wasn't aware of before this, but it was sitting ever so tempting on the new-releases shelf, so....
So far, it's pretty good.
I've also gotten some newsfiles written up, the dishes done, and some rp time in. Oh, and I went to the Japanese Gardens this morning. I was going to go to the tulip festival in Woodburn, but I couldn't sustain enough interest to actually want to go, so...guess not! :)
Now to see which of my pictures from the Gardens came out. The lilies are just peeping up from the beds with no flowers; not worthy of a shot (and since they had to replant due to the age of the plants, unlikely to be this year, at a guess). Many of the trees are just budding, some barely even that. It was raining.
But the cherry trees are raining pink petals down over everything like a bizarre floral snow, and many of the flowering bushes are in various stages of bloom, and the rain splashing into the pond was gorgeously pretty, if silent. And for all that it was cloudy and rainy, it was not very foggy and the city at least could be seen clearly from the terrace in front of the pavillion.
It's a day, and the earth is here and real and vibrant, and I'm alive, and it's glorious.
