Your Mistake, My Mistake-All the Same to the Brain

Short form: research shows the brain reacts the same to making a mistake or watching someone make a mistake. It is the same feeling and flinch, but to see that science has shown it is kind of interesting.

And, how about the drug firms that withheld research showing that some antidipressants could be ineffective or even harmful when used with kids? Nice to know how much they value people....

Interesting. I think practical jokes are another matter, though - you dislike them for other reasons. They're not, per se, a mistake - well, unless, like me, you view them as a mistake. :P But they don't carry the inherent definition.

But I bet it's why I cringe at practical jokes, even when carried out by a person who finds it funny on a victim who finds it funny. :P
