Today started out quiet and grey and slightly rainy. This afternoon, it alternated between grey-but-dry and pouring. It would just come out of nowhere and slam down...glorious to watch.
It did it as I left work. I did 35 in the 40 zone, with my wipers on high. REALLY splattering hard. At times I slowed down more, 35 was the best I could do. It let up as I got near the freeway. Which was packed. Traffic reports were nasty - accidents everywhere, a rolling meth lab causing a lane to be cordoned off by police (not on my route home, thank goodness!), etc. The freeway was slooooow. I took surface streets a ways, but they were jammed and slow too. Bah!
Beautiful weather, though. Not so bad to be stuck out in it a bit longer, I guess.
