...are sometimes small and sweet, and sometimes not.
I was at work still and focussed on my laptop when I heard a 'chir-weee' to my right. I look over and there's this little black bird on the ledge right outside the window, staring in. I stared back, then moved to get a better angle, slowly, hoping it wouldn't spook. It cocked its head and stood there, then strutted around a bit, posing. I stood up and leaned to look at it, and it strutted some more, then puffed up and gave me a head-tilted look. It was still there when I turned back to my computer, but gone a bit after.
Pity I didn't take the camera in today.
And now there are storms. Good ones. Lightning and thunder, dark grey clouds chasing a line of lighter clouds across the sky and rapidly sweeping it over to storm, the greens of fields and trees growing darker beneath it.... We had rain earlier and likely will again, but just now we don't. The radio said there was a funnel cloud in Marion County, as I was driving home. Yannow, I like thunderstorms. I could skip the funnel clouds, thanks, they don't belong in this state.
But oh, is what's outside my window gorgeous.
