Tired. Headachy. Not happy. Saw the doctor this morning about my sinuses as, since Wednesday, I've been pretty sure it had progressed to the point where it would only get better with antibiotics. She concurred, so now I have amoxicillin for ten days, lucky me. I didn't, of course, have a fever. I never have a fever. But presented with the list of symptoms, and the state of what she looked at and into, she had to agree with my conclusion. I'm used to having sinus discomfort. I've got allergies like nobody's business, and my sinuses are real happy to get into the act, sometimes unpleasantly. But there are lots of signs when it's gone beyond that, and a whole truckload of them all started in on Wednesday (or Tuesday, sort of). One is how long it's been going on; another, more telling, is how much medicine it takes to control it (Wednesday, an actual full dose of decongestant plus 500 mg of tylenol only got the pain to a dull roar). Another is if it wakes me up. Etc., etc. I had about five more. Not amused. But hopefully in a few days I will be feeling better (if I'm lucky, in one or two days).

I tried to work today. I really did. But at about 2, I gave up and came home. I couldn't think. Couldn't focus. Etc. Took meds, and that only quieted it, didn't stop it. So I took advantage of 'quieted' to go get the antibiotics and head home, and am eagerly awaiting the next time I get to take decongestants. Feh. Also, overheated. Must go stand in front of the AC now, room is not yet cool enough....
