Ah, when Bush misspeaks, it's so appropriate.
"They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."
Of course, it is a misspeak and we know what he meant to say. And I do not think it depicts the truth by accident, either. I do not think he is capable of such reasoned thought as to deliberately do that. I do think he is incompetent and a bad president, and capable of arriving at the end result of harming our country and people, not from having it as a goal, but from failing to properly seek and appreciate its opposite and being too in tune with his own goals.
And regardless, I find the fact that he said that to be ironic. I'm glad I have no desire to be a politician, too; they're watched like hawks for slip-ups and, while this one's impressive, we've all seen much more minor ones underlined. At least he's not Quayle.
