If you get an email with an attachment and it looks suspicious, I don't care if your antivirus didn't warn, don't open it.

If it's an executable, and the data it purports to be giving you would logically be text or in a spreadsheet, it's suspicious.

If the email has no subject, it's suspicious.

If the email came "from" a mailing list instead of going "to" a mailing list, it's suspicious.

Come on, folks, don't open these things. I don't care if the antivirus defs aren't screaming, I knew it when I saw the first one. (Up to 40 specimens now, thanks to the beauty that is being on multiple mailing lists, some of which are now purportedly sending email to each other.)

Please. Please. Stop. Opening. Them.

It's gonna be a long day....
