Various whatnot

ohi (ohiblather is her talking journal, the other is artowrk) made me userpics! I'm using one of them, the other two are a leaf and a flower. I'm so pleased with them!

I've posted pictures to buzznet from the zoo trip. The camera very nicely compensated for my stupidity and the pics are fine. I love this camera. I have not yet posted the one of Scott with a bird on his head! I want to show it to him and get his okay first. I'll put it in here also when I do, as long as he is fine with it. :) The pictures that are up are available at Buzznet itself (with ads) or via syndication at bn_kyrielle.

Also! I was asked for a picture of my kitchen, when I asked what pictures people would like to see. Here it is (it's also on Buzznet).



There's cabinets and such off to the left as well as the visible ones and in the center island. The door at the left is a walk-in pantry, actually fully as deep as it looks like it should be ... it's really nice! Sadly, the most used cooking device here is easily the microwave.

Wow! That's the first time I've seen the surface of that center island in a long time. So, if someone asked for a picture of the living room, you would pick that up, too? :-)

Probably not. A lot of what was in the center island was either non-refrigerated foods that could be put away in the pantry, or old newspapers since Scott tends to set them there instead of dumping them straight in the trash. I wish they'd stop free delivery of that once-a-week edition, I REALLY do.

The living room has a lot more of Scott's stuff, as well as a bunch of things that really don't have a home at all at this point.

Very very cool. The kitchen is usually a hub of the house and it gives you a bit of insight as to what the house looks like. :)

Especially the refrigerator. :)

*chuckles* It's a nice house, and a nice kitchen, but it's sure not a hub here - which is why I felt obligated to clean it before showing it off. I have only two main uses for the kitchen - when I'm hungry, and when I need to dial out on the phone line instead of using my DSL (the kitchen's the first plug and the only one my computer can cope with).

Ah, a real kitchen...beautiful! I yearn for the day of a real kitchen! Or a home that I own.
