Yesterday was also pretty good. Much slower-paced; Scott spent the afternoon and evening with his family up at his aunt and uncle's place. Being on call, I didn't go, so I stayed and did normal weekend things - and while I'm sorry for that in a way, it was a nice break and a bit of relaxation, which is a good thing overall. Got a few things done on Ephemera, had a wonderful scene on AmberMUSH (mildly marred by its ending sooner than I wanted as I needed to get ready for bed, but such is life), read another Star Trek book, did the laundry....

I think I'll try to remember to stop and buy one more space heater today. The one we have, I keep hauling from computer room to bedroom and back and sometimes I want it in both....

Short week this week as I have Thursday and Friday off.

Lately, I've noticed a few times where someone had a link to another web site, and put it in parentheses to make it look somewhat like an lj-cut tag. The look is not identical - they haven't gone that far, though they could - but I still find it highly annoying. An lj-cut tag promises that the thing you will get is more of the same post. You may (I may!) click on it before reading the "top part" of the post, knowing it will still be there; or you may (I do!) click on the comments link expecting it to take you to the same page the cut would have. Neither of these are true of outside links. Please, if you have an outside link, just link it. Don't stick it in parentheses and "lie" to me about what it is with that formatting. I feel like I have to watch every set of parentheses suspiciously, and it's annoying.

For those who followed the house painting saga, I just have to say, I laughed a lot at today's Kevin & Kell. Painfully topical. http://www.kevinandkell.com/2004/kk1025.html

So now you need a paint that changes color with the seasons. Right?
