"I know very little about some of the people on my friends' list. Some people I know relatively well. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...she likes spinach."

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people whom I know really well. Then post this in your own journal, if you feel like it."

Here's two: I don't like much seafood, mostly because of lack of experience with it; as a native Midwesterner, the only fish I really know comes in a Mrs. Paul's box.

Possibly my favorite way to spend a lovely day is driving around back country roads, exploring (as I've done all weekend).

I have hiked about 2/3 of the Appalachian Trail --- some 1400 miles if I remember right --- over the course of three summers. Many years ago.

It is very difficult for me to sit still. If I can't do something like write, or work with yarn, I pick at my nails. It's been known to cause death threats by various and sunder beloved relations and friends.

I was once buried (purposefully) underneath 2 feet of snow as a mock-victim in a rescue dog demonstration. I think I was 14 at the time.

I hate cherries and anything cherry-flavored. I love tomato sauce, tomato soup, sundried tomatoes, and anything tomato-ish except for fresh tomatoes, which I find unspeakably disgusting.

I once kit-bashed a globe for an RPG setting. Still got it on my desk, too.

I have a deep-seated, seething hatred for Alexander Pope. The mention of him can literally make me see red. I have been known to go toe-to-toe with tenured professors on the subject of Alex And The Manifold Ways He Sucks, Especially In Light Of "The Rape Of The Lock."

I'm addicted to the internet.

Oh wait, you already know that one.. hmm...

I once saved a 2yr old girl's life at a gas station by performing CPR on her after she choked on a piece of candy her mother had given her.

Shook me up, but made me feel good about myself afterwards. :)

I can still perform most of the songs from Christmas pageants I was in oh so long ago.

I have talked two people out of suicide. Broccoli is my favourite vegetable. I secretly like country music if it's funny.

I can rap and used to, when I was still doing travelling performances with the girls.

Don't kill me.

I have never mowed a lawn of any kind, nor used a lawnmower in any function (not that it has many functions, other than the mowing...but you never know).

I'm a vampire, or at least that's what some people say when I tell them what I do for work.
I live in Colorado. I like Mexican food.

I hate watermelon. No...really. I hate watermelon. I hate cantaloupe. I hate honeydew melon. Come to think of it...I don't think I like melons at all. Closest I've come to liking a fruit with a "melon"-like taste, I think, is mango. But that was only in Cozumel, on the dive boat, on our honeymoon, I think.

Don't know what it is, but mangoes, avocados, etc., just tasted _better_ closer to the tropics. Yum. And you could see a mile in that water. *memories*
