Went to Zoolights tonight with Scott, as planned. It was lovely; I forgot my gloves, which wasn't lovely. Scott offered to loan me his but, I could not have operated the camera with them on. So I stuck my hands in my pockets when I wasn't taking pictures, or on occasion, in Scott's pockets. (He is an absolute furnace; my hands were freezing and his were burning. Very handy. He is also very patient, have I mentioned this?)
The lights were gorgeous. We got tickets for the zoo train in spite of the warning that the line was an hour long - the lines were insane tonight. I should have anticipated this, I suppose, considering how many people will have tomorrow off, and that bunches of those probably had today off as I did. Oops.
So we stood in line a long time (45-60 minutes, the estimate was probably pretty close) and then got to see pretty lights you can't see from not on the train. I don't think I'd do it again in terms of tradeoff of time in line for pretty - but the not-knowing would have driven me nuts. And I'm glad I didn't know, because it was neat to see the lights that are not where you can see them without the train.
