It is unusually sunny and clear and warm for March, this year. I have, in general, been enjoying it. Not because I am ignorant of the implications (we are horribly behind on rainfall/snowpack this year and face a potential summer drought) nor because I am a sun-lover who looks forward to baking (I am a computer geek and I am fond of indoor spaces and keyboards), nor even because the flowers are a brilliance while the trees are still bare (they are, but they'd just be a wet brilliance otherwise). Truth be told, I love the rain. I love the cool cloudy days. But as far as I can tell, my choices are to enjoy the weather I've got, or to be upset by the implications. Really, there's not much I can do about the weather nor its implications, so I'm enjoying the clear strong light, the warmth, the prettiness.

Except that today, that "warmth" is edging into "heat". It really should not be mid-70s and we are approaching the discomfort zone. Still, it's not yet bad; another thing, like the lack of rainfall, that bodes ill for the summer to come, though.

But it is pretty out these days.

Speaking of pretty, I took some photos today; two of the three I think are much better than the third. They are this one and this one.
