Despite the allergies, today was pretty good (and the allergies are mostly behaving by now - yay for modern medicine...). Played World of Warcraft with Scott - we got several quests done and I had a good time. Got the grocery shopping done, got two loads of laundry done, reread a couple books, poked around the 'net, and oh yeah, got that bookcase set up! I was going to attach it to the wall as well, but as usual I was not sure I could get things to line up. Scott is very good at that, which is why he has done all the others. So I shall try to sucker him into doing so, tomorrow.
Daylight savings time hits tonight. I am underthrilled. I hate that concept, I wish we would stop playing with numbers we made up in the first place because we don't like how we made them up or use them. Grah. Stupid concept, truly it is. I sincerely hope no one gets creamed on the freeways on Monday but, statistically, every year the number of people killed in car accidents goes up after that change - at least, in the areas that have it.
How I envy the few people in the US who are not subject to this insanity. It's proof of how over-ordered we are (strong indictment from me, who is so resistant to surprises!) that we are more capable of changing our minds about what time it is than changing our mind about what time to do things.... :P And really? I'm much fonder of the present schedule. Monday, driving to work, I will likely have the sun in my eyes again (WHY is this a good thing?). Joy.
