And then there's the fun you can have if you buy a piece of land that doesn't exist. I can't believe these people didn't check on that, but I also can't believe the gall of the town idiots (uh, I mean, officials) involved. Setting a precedent indeed! As one commenter says, what, a precedent that the land you sell must EXIST first?
